Free SAT's at thE HIGH


The first SAT of every month is free for FULTON county residents and family. This would be a great opportunity to see DALI exhibit which is fabulous! Just bring proof of residency and enjoy your day!!!

Disquise your pumpkin contest

Disquise your pumpkin Contest
Students buy pumpkins ( smaller than your head) use home materials: paint, cotton balls, fabrics, markers: to come up with a fabulous disquise for your pumpkins. This art contest is optional. It will start the week of Oct. 4th and will end the 22ND of October. 10Winners will be picked t who have the most creative disquised pumpkins and will have a chick-fil-A lunch with Mrs. Elder and myself the following week. Pumpkins will be displayed at school . If some materials need help to be supplied, you can see me in the art room for assistance!

4th grade Elements of Art Books



LINE, SHAPE, COLOR, TEXTURE, VALUE, SPACE, AND FORM

Students are making 3d folding books that represent the elements of art. Students can utilize markers, crayons, paint, paper, glitter, magazines, and other materials to show their perspective on these elements. So far they are looking fantastic!!







Third graders have been making beautiful cut-out designs.


They currently are exploring complementary colors, symmetry, organic and geometric shapes, and positive negative space.


















Reflections Update

It's getting closer! The deadline for students to submit their works of art to Art Reflections is October 4. This year's theme is Together We Can. We will be accepting entries in the following six categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature and Musical Composition. Click here for an entry form and rules. A collection box is located in the school lobby along with entry forms and rules. Don't let your child miss this opportunity to show off their creative talents!

The PTA is also looking for ideas for next year's Reflections theme. The student who submits the winning theme entry will receive $100. Theme submission forms and collection box will be available in the school lobby. Deadline for theme entry is November 1.

Our little artists are looking to these famous ABSTRACT artists and art movements for inspiration. Students are specifically looking at how shape, line, color influenced these artists. Look for future student work!!!

It's that time of year again to put on your creative hats and submit your masterpiece to the Art Reflections program! This year's theme is "Together We Can". ART SHOW announced!!

The date of our Artome' Art Show will be December 7th from 6-8PM here at CWE cafeteria! They will be great gifts for holiday presents!

Starting off right!

The students are working extremely hard to recognize the basics of art. All classes are learning about color, lines, shapes, and the elements of art. Students will soon be cutting, painting, glueing, and creating their masterpieces the upcoming weeks!
