4th grade students have been preparing artwork inspired by Gustav Klimt, an Austrian Artist who invented the ART NOUVEAU style. He loved to use gold, metallics, and also lots of pattern in his paintings. Below you can see our students using metallic paints to start their self portraits for the Art Show.

Second Grade students completed their sculpture unit by looking at Louise Nevelson's found object art. Students studied abstract art along with form. Here are some examples of the class sculptures that we were created.
Students just completed making their found object, recyclable, giant, winged instects. Studetns first paper mached the thorax abodomen and head to create the body. Then students made wings out of string, wire, mesh, and other objects to create these amazing GIANT bugs!
5th grade is creating their Art Show Self Portraits. They studied Andy Warhol and POP Art. Students etched printing plates and used bright color ink to create their artwork.
First grade students created Presidental sculpture busts~ the sculpted forms from recycled materials, paper mached, painted and adorned their presidents in their traditional suits. You can see president Obama, Lincoln, Taylor, JFK, and Washington in the pictures.
